This study evaluated whether increased caspase-2 mRNA expression explains elevated Δtau314 levels in neurodegenerative disease. The authors found that caspase-2 mRNA levels were not elevated in mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, Huntington’s disease, or Lewy body dementia.
